I’m Whitney. Whitney Drebot to be exact. My last name is pronounced like the “DRE” in “DREadlocks” followed by “BOW” like the kind you put in your hair. (Or your dreadlocks if you have them.) The “T” is silent. I’m still chewing on the name myself as I’ve recently gotten married to the cutest boy in town and that is subsequently why I’ve traded in my old, slightly-more-simple last name for this fancy French one that nobody in the entire United States has ever heard of. So far it’s been more than worth it though as marriage has been the single greatest thing I have ever done. My husband’s name is Josh and I think he’s pretty cute….
I kinda like him a lot.
Side Note: The other night we went to bed super late after a long day of work for the both of us. I got to bed first and was curled up under the blankets when Josh came walking in the room toating one of our new cookbooks we got for our wedding under his arm. I couldn’t stop laughing as he curled up in bed next to me and started reading me the cookbook. He read me random recipes until I fell asleep. Those are the moments I live for.
As far as this being “about me” — Um… I drink grapefruit juice with salt every morning. I have a cheese addiction. My favorite holiday is the 4th of July because I love summer, food, family, and fireworks. I am only 4’10” tall and usually have to climb on the counters to reach the top shelf when I’m cooking. My husband is a better cook than I am, but I’m trying to learn how to be domestic. I am a lover of Disneyworld. I don’t love the winter. I served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Orlando, Florida from 2014-2017. I still have a piece of myself in Florida sitting on a beach somewhere. But now I live in the grand little city of Provo, Utah AKA Happy Valley. And I love it here.
I’m going to school for graphic design and I coach a competitive tumbling team and wish I had more time to take pictures. I’ve had a blog since 2012 and I love to write when I can find the time.
So there ya have it… Just your average Provo Newlywed ready to start a party.
So come hang out a while!
